Czech Republic: New head of comms at Skoda
As of the beginning of September, Peik von Bestenbostel is the new Head of Communication at Škoda Auto. His previous role was as Head of Corporate Communications and Economics at VW AG, Wolfsburg. In his new capacity, Bestenbostel reports to Winfried Vahland, the chairman of the board of directors of Skoda Auto. Bestenbostel joined the Volkswagen Group as head of corporate and business at group communications two years ago.
Bestenbostel began his professional career in 1988 as an editor at the Bayerischer Rundfunk, until moving on in 1995 to BMW AG in Munich, where he was Public Relations Officer for the department of Economics and Finances.
