Norway: New Head of Media Relations at Statoil


Jannik Lindbęk has been appointed Vice President Media Relations, Head of Corporate Press Office and Corporate Spokesperson at Statoil, where he will take over from Ola Morten Aanestad, who has been appointed Vice President of Media Relations for Statoil in North America and will transfer to Houston during the summer.

Mr Lindbęk will join Statoil this month to take on his new responsibilities, leaving his previous position as Senior Vice President Corporate Communication at Aker Solutions.

Lindbęk is an experienced communications professional with a broad background. He has previously served as partner and consultant in leading Norwegian consultancy agencies, and as communications director for Microsoft Norway.

Prior to this Lindbęk served as Adviser and Secretary to the board at GIEK - the Norwegian governmental institute for export credit guarantees and insurance.

Jannik Lindbęk holds a cand. polit. degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen and a Master of Science from London School of Economics.
