MEPs of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Security and Defence Subcommittee and the Delegation for Relations with the South Caucasus will meet Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Eka Tkeshelashvili on Wednesday, 20 August, to debate the current situation in Georgia.
The extraordinary meeting on the situation in Georgia will take place on Wednesday, 20 August, from 16:30-17:30 in room ASP 3E2 and is open to the public. Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Jacek Saryusz-Wolski (EPP-ED, PL) and the Georgian Foreign Minister will hold a joint press point following the meeting outside the committee room.
The meeting will be broadcast live by EbS (Europe by Satellite).
Please note that the briefing by Delegation Chair Marie-Anne Isler Béguin (Greens/EFA, FR) and the debate with French Secretary of State for European Affairs Jean-Pierre Jouyet, from 15:00-16:30 the same day is not open to the public.
